This fair is designed to help ensure your child is healthy\, supported\, and ready for kindergarten by bringing essential services together in one convenient location. \nFamilies can access a range of free developmental screenings and supports\, including: \n\nGeneral Development\nPre-Kindergarten Immunizations\nSpeech & Language\nHearing\n\nFree informational displays will be open until 5:00 PM\, offering parents and caregivers helpful resources and guidance to support their child’s growth and development. \nEvery child who attends will receive a free book\, generously provided by Sunset Rotary\, helping build early literacy skills at home. \nParents and caregivers can also: \n\nSpeak with representatives from Service Canada & the Canada Revenue Agency about benefits available to your family\nApply for your child’s Social Insurance Number (SIN)(Please bring your child’s birth certificate\, parent’s SIN card\, and photo ID)\n\nEnjoy door prizes and grand prize draws throughout the day! \nPlease note: Registrations are accepted until 5:00 PM. \nThis is a great opportunity to check in on your child’s development\, ask questions\, and feel confident as you prepare for the transition to kindergarten — all at no cost to your family. \n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Foundations of Healing & Growth Conference 2026\nRegistration Deadline: Tuesday\, May 5th at 4:00 PM \nJoin Child & Family Services of Western Manitoba for a full-day professional development conference at the Victoria Inn Hotel in Brandon\, featuring the renowned Dr. Emily Wang. \nMeet Our Speaker: Dr. Emily Wang\nWe are honoured to welcome Dr. Emily Wang\, a nationally and internationally recognized leader in mental health and trauma-informed practice. With over 30 years of experience\, Dr. Wang began her career as a frontline worker at the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School in Chicago and has dedicated her work to understanding the impact of trauma on development. \nDr. Wang holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology\, a Master of Arts\, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She frequently presents to educators\, clinicians\, caregivers\, Indigenous communities\, and government ministries across Alberta and British Columbia. From 2017–2018\, she led the Ministry of Children’s Services provincial training of the Neurosequential Model (NM) across Alberta.  \nDr. Wang served as Senior Director of Clinical Advancement at Hull Services\, is a Specialist in Infant–Parent Mental Health\, and a Mentor for the Neurosequential Network.  \nConference Topic\nUnderstanding the impact of stress and the value of relationships in child development.
