Join Child & Family Services of Western Manitoba for a full-day professional development conference at the Victoria Inn Hotel in Brandon, featuring the renowned Dr. Emily Wang.
Meet Our Speaker: Dr. Emily Wang
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Emily Wang, a nationally and internationally recognized leader in mental health and trauma-informed practice. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Wang began her career as a frontline worker at the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School in Chicago and has dedicated her work to understanding the impact of trauma on development.
Dr. Wang holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology, a Master of Arts, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She frequently presents to educators, clinicians, caregivers, Indigenous communities, and government ministries across Alberta and British Columbia. From 2017–2018, she led the Ministry of Children’s Services provincial training of the Neurosequential Model (NM) across Alberta.
Dr. Wang served as Senior Director of Clinical Advancement at Hull Services, is a Specialist in Infant–Parent Mental Health, and a Mentor for the Neurosequential Network.
