CFS Foundation
The Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba Foundation Inc. (CFS Foundation) was created in 1991 as a way for philanthropic community members to support parents and caregivers in their rewarding and often challenging role of raising children.
The CFS Foundation is a private, not-for-profit charitable organization that raises funds to support family strengthening programs offered through the Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba (CFS of Western Manitoba) Agency. The Foundation’s mission is to maintain a strong financial base through community support to fund programs that promote the safety and security of children and strengthen family life.
Since its inception, the CFS Foundation has given over one million dollars to CFS of Western Manitoba. These funds help support the family strengthening programs and services offered through the Agency’s Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre, Preschool Enrichment Program, and throughout rural Westman to encourage, promote and maintain healthy, safe and respectful families.
The CFS Foundation manages three main funds: the Elspeth Reid Family Fund, the Westman Rural Family Fund, and the General Family Fund.
The CFS Foundation thrives through generous gifts, donations and sponsorships from public, private, corporate and community contributors. Whichever fund or program you choose to support through the CFS Foundation, your donation stays in Westman to help protect children, strengthen families and build safe communities. It also shows your commitment toward making a positive change in the life of a Westman family and is an investment in the future of our communities.
Giving a financial gift to the Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba Foundation Inc. confirms that together we are stronger and we can make great things happen for others.
